Dear Subscribers,
On behalf of The Minute Journal team, I thank you for subscribing to this newsletter. I hope that you have enjoyed our articles and they have benefited you in some way.
Recently, I’ve decided to take a new direction in my writing journey and for that reason, I will no longer be contributing articles to Flow State.
I have started another Substack publication, titled From Ashes. From Ashes is a novel that I will be serializing. Here is what it’s all about.
Dana and Nicola met at an Air BnB on the Sunshine Coast, British Columbia in the summer of 2015. Dana was a housekeeper and Nicola was a guest. They instantly became good friends from the moment they met, but life took them in different directions.
Five years later…
Dana was a rising star fitness coach when the lockdowns forced her to shut down her fitness classes. All attempts to re-launch her fitness career online failed. Desperate to numb the pain of her sudden loss, she turned to photography, a long-time passion of hers.
Nicola, award-winning photographer and wedding planner, lost her business when the world economy shut down. To make matters worse, her husband — the love of her life — died in a tragic accident, leaving her alone and shattered. But rather than let her loss completely engulf her, Nicola decided to expand her photography skills outside of the wedding realm.
Both women reconnected with each other over social media, and photography was the very thing that rekindled their friendship. They met up near Pemberton late that spring and decided to start their own photography business.
But, would they be able to navigate around strict mandates in order to succeed in their new venture? And would Nicola and Dana be able to find and re-define friendship and happiness in a world so overcome with negativity and despair?
In addition to From Ashes and starting this week, I am going to add a section, Looking Up And Ahead. This section will feature the same types of articles I have published here on Flow State — articles that motivate and inspire you to pursue your goals, how to cope and thrive through hardship; articles that compliment the subject matter of From Ashes.
I invite you to visit From Ashes at https://fromashes.substack.com/about, have a read and subscribe. I look forward to connecting with you there. In the meanwhile, I hope you are enjoying The Minute Journal app and I hope it is giving you that extra boost of creative inspiration.
Yours Sincerely
Deanna Proach
